“Mid-Week Peak”
Monday September 12th – Wednesday September 14th 2016
Fancy a weekend in the Peak District but put off by roads full of weekend drivers and difficulty parking anywhere? Me too. What about going after the weekend? It’s considerably quieter and you can enjoy the wonderful roads and spectacular views the Peak District has to offer in a more relaxed fashion.
Here’s the plan: arrive on Monday September 12th for a two night stay The Peak Edge Hotel http://www.peakedgehotel.co.uk/. Located between Matlock and Chesterfield it’s a modern 4 star hotel with 26 rooms offering comfortable accommodation with good food. It is easy to get to and provides an excellent base to sample the varied roads and scenery of the Peak district. With the aid of local experts we’ll follow superb routes combining great biking with interesting sights; something for everyone.
I have negotiated a special rate which includes breakfast and a 3 course dinner in a private dining room at £160 per night for couples and £130 per night for single rooms. The rooms will be held on allocation until Monday August 8th after which they will be released. The hotel will require a £50 deposit on booking with the balance payable on departure. There’s a great pub on the corner too if you fancy a pint of proper ale.
Please reserve your room directly with the hotel on 01246 566142 quoting reference IFMR. In case of any queries our contact there is Angela Syddall. Nearer the time I will be circulating a menu to make your choices in advance so that our evening meal can run smoothly and on schedule.
Best wishes to all,
Happy Rotacycling,
David
